Hello racers!
We are quickly approaching race day for The Uncontainable Adventure Race on Sunday September 25th! We are excited that you will be a part of this very special event. Our course designer, Glen Lewis, has put together a fun event for all to enjoy! Trees have been ordered by the Chester County Parks and Preservation, and we are ready to roll! This is a rain or shine event.
A few housekeeping items for your attention:
The event will be based out of Pavilion #4 at Nottingham County Park in Nottingham, PA. Please download the pdf for all your race details including directions and general race rules.

GEAR LIST ADDITION:
The park has a limited number of shovels – SO….. YOU CAN EARN AN EXTRA RACE POINT FOR YOUR FINAL SCORE BY BRINGING YOUR OWN SHOVEL. – WE ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGING YOU TO DO THIS IF YOU CAN!
You can bring as many shovels as you like, but only 1 pt will be added to your score. Please label your shovel(s) with duct tape/ and Team Name.
PARKING will take place on a grassy field near the pavilion. You may transition out of your vehicle or set up a TA by the pavilion. Please come in one team vehicle if possible.
Please take note of the race time frames:
8am – 9am Race Check in
9:15 am Race Briefing/Tree planting demo
10:00 Race Start
4 hrs to complete course
If any additional pieces of information come our way, we will send another email the week of the race. This will also be updated on the website.

Hello!!
Thank you SO much for offering your time to help with the upcoming Uncontainable Adventure Race. This is a very special event, and I am so happy that you will be a part of it. We have about 70 racers coming to race the event and plant trees. We also have a group of volunteers who will be dedicated to tree planting, and a group of volunteers who will due double duty running race stations, and tree planting.
Please see the attached document to see your current volunteer assignment. If you have a change of plans, or input for me, please let me know ASAP.
If you have First Aid/Medical Training and would be able to help support our Medical section, please let me know.
I tried to put the folks who live a bit more locally in the early shift. – sorry, I know it’s early on a Sunday am.
For those only coming for Tree Planting, your arrival time would be 9:45 – 10am.
We will be setting aside a group of trees dedicated for the racers to plant, and a group of trees dedicated for the “tree volunteers” and “double duty volunteers ” to plant.
Things to bring race day ?
Dress for weather, this is a rain or shine event
Sunscreen bug spray recommended
Personal water bottle and snacks
Chair ( you may or may not use it)
If you have one (or more) digging shovels, please bring them. The park has a limited number of these to share among all. PLACE YOUR NAME ON YOUR SHOVEL WITH DUCT TAPE.
