| Adventure Racing is is a triumph
of the human spirit as much as a sporting event. To compete in an
adventure race requires as much, if not more, mental strength as
physical strength. It is often said that the fastest athlete is
not always the winner. One navigational error can leave you hours
behind.
Most adventure races require teams to move through a mixed course
that is unknown to the racers until the last minute. They must identify
the checkpoint locations, evaluate the terrain and choose the best
route within the rules of travel. It’s a sport that requires
more strategy and cooperation than any other competitive sport in
the world.
The typical skills areas are: trail running/trekking, mountain
biking, orienteering, whitewater or flat water paddling, and fixed
ropes activities like rappelling, ascending, and traversing.
Once you experience the thrill that comes from adventure racing,
you’ll be hooked. We guarantee it.
